Australia’s summer of cricket continues live and free on Seven as Pat Cummins’ World Test Champions take on the West Indies.

Fresh off a series whitewash of Pakistan, the two-match series kicks off in Adelaide before heading to Brisbane.

How to watch Australia v West Indies

The first Test gets underway on Wednesday, January 17 and runs until Sunday, January 21. Coverage starts at 9am local time (9.30am AEDT) on Channel 7 and 7mate on all five days.

Play is scheduled to get underway at 10am local time (10.30am AEDT) each day. Seven will show every session live and free across Channel 7 and 7mate, with interviews and features airing throughout the coverage.

Channel 7 commentators for Australia v West Indies

Australian legend Ricky Ponting headlines the commentary team alongside former opening batters and international coaches Justin Langer and Matthew Hayden, while Pakistan great Waqar Younis will also feature for all three Tests.

A procession of former on-field stars will also return to Seven’s cricket team as expert commentators across Tests or BBL coverage, including Greg Blewett, Lisa Sthalekar, Trent Copeland, Callum Ferguson, Holly Ferling, Damien Fleming, Brad Hodge, Simon Katich, Katey Martin, Kirby Short and Elyse Villani.

Leading 7SPORT presenters James Brayshaw and Mel McLaughlin will also return to Seven’s coverage, alongside resident callers Tim Lane, Alison Mitchell and Alister Nicholson while Erin Holland, Andy Maher, Jason Richardson and Emma Freedman round out the team.

Five-time ICC umpire of the year Simon Taufel will also join the Test team to offer his expert analysis at crucial moments.

Australia v West Indies teams

Australia have made one massive change to their squad after keeping the same XI for the three Tests against Pakistan.

Retired opener David Warner has been replaced in the team by Cam Green, who will bat at No.4, with Steve Smith moving up the order to open the batting.

West Indies will blood three debutants for the Test against Adelaide.

Kavem Hodge and Justin Greaves have earned their first Test caps in the middle of the order, while Shamar Joseph has been picked after impressing in their tour match against the Cricket Australia XI last week.
