Popular Channel 7 sports commentator James Brayshaw and Lisa Christie officially tied the knot in Perth on Friday.

Photos have emerged of the happy couple sharing a kiss at the ceremony before celebrating at the Shorehouse in Swanbourne.

A star-studded list of sporting identities attended the wedding that’s been on the agenda for almost 12 months since the loved-up couple became engaged last November.

Former AFL CEO Gillon McLachlan was in attendance, along with SEN owner Craig Hutchison and media personality Sam Newman.

Brayshaw’s fellow Channel 7 commentators Brian Taylor, Luke Darcy, and Campbell Brown were all there, as well as Geelong great – and co-host of Brayshaw’s Triple M Rush Hour show – Billy Brownless.

Other sporting identities at the wedding included Melbourne legend Garry Lyon (and his partner Nicky Brownless), former Richmond and Western Bulldogs champion Nathan Brown, veteran AFL journalist Damian Barrett and cricket greats Adam Gilchrist and Justin Langer.

Brayshaw and Christie – who have been dating since 2017 – revealed wedding bells were in the air last year during a romantic trip in Italy.

“Italy … best country in the world. Daylight second … next level extraordinary!” Brayshaw said at the time. Christie wrote: “Best trip yet … hands down! See you soon kids!”

Brayshaw, 56, is one of the most connected sports presenters in the country.

The former president of AFL club North Melbourne was also an elite cricketer, representing Western Australia and South Australia between 1987 and 1997.

He is a superstar commentator for Channel 7, called on for the network’s world-class AFL and cricket coverage.

He is the brother of Mark Brayshaw (a former North Melbourne footballer and past CEO of the AFL Coaches Association) and uncle of current AFL stars, brothers Angus (Melbourne) and Andrew Brayshaw (Fremantle).

Angus is also engaged to Danielle Frawley, the daughter of St Kilda great Danny Frawley.

James Brayshaw has worked on Seven and Nine and still has popular radio spots on Triple M.

Brayshaw was previously married to Sarah and has four sons (Henry, George, Johnathon and Frederick). Christie was previously engaged to TV celebrity Jamie Durie and also has two children from another relationship.
